Do you ever have moments in your life when you feel like you're on autopilot?

It's like a slightly dream state trance, where you operate as normal, but you're just not focusing or in the moment (multi-tasking, answering questions without given it too much thought, speeding through life without allowing that inner part of you (spiritual self maybe) to slow down. You don't even know that you are doing it until you slow down....and be in the moment.

When I slow down (pause) I appreciate things more, the people in my life, or life in general.

If you experience anything like this what is your take on it?

If this doesn't happen to you-than don't answer. I rather have an unanswered question, than a bunch of answers coming from wanna bee comedians and butt heads.

Over the last couple of years I have had a lot of those moments, you drive home from work and then you realize you don't know how you go there. Usually for me I had a lot on my mind and I think our instincts just take us where we need to go. As a Christian this has not really alarmed me that much, I just trust God to get me home safely, when we are doing his will I beleive what ever happens in our lives has a purpose and it isn't like I can keep this from happening. God is in control when I am on Autopilot, it reminds me of the painting and poem where this person was going across the desert and at times there would be one set of foot prints and the person said to God where was you at during those times and God says during those times you had only one set of footprints I was caring you. Praise the Lord, I didn't realize this was happening to alot of other people. Thank God you are still alive and able to serve our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

i know what you're talking about. like when i'm on my way to work, and when i pull into the parking lot i think to myself how did i get here? autopilot. but it seems to me that when im in autopilot, its because im more focused on whats going on inside my head than whats around me
