Yamaha is never a bad choice when it comes to surround processors. Since their introduction of the DSP1 in the early 1980s, other manufacturers have come and gone, but Yamaha has always been a contender in most price ranges.

The model you chose will run your Quintets just fine and so long as your subwoofer is self-amplified (one you have to plug into an electrical outlet) it will work fine also. If the 6060 has the features you want then I say go for it!

as receivers go yamaha are up there with the top boys (denon-onkyo etc) so no worries on the choice of kit there-$359 (£180) isn't at all bad for such a system so you bought well-although i have heard of klipsch i have never had much to do with the make so can't comment there. but once the system is set up correctly then you will have a fine AV set-up.

Hi mike. It is a bit late to ask now since you have already ordered it.I always tell people to listen first ,before they buy.It is the only way to be sure. If you are only interested in the movie soundtrack instead of the quality of the music, then any Receiver in the same price range will probably do.
