If I changed my name to "Bible Lover" and asked a pro-Christian question, would 80% of the answers STILL disagree with me?

i see lots of questions that 80% or more answers disagree with. it's nothing to do with your name; i see just as many disagree with 'christian' statements as 'atheist' ones...people on here can be very argumentative. which is not a bad thing.

btw -- beautiful avatar!!

I and about 8 out of 10 of the rest of us completely disagree with this question. Change your name to God's Warrior of Peace and see what happens.

Only 80%? I would have thought far more would disagree...

Wow that means that 20% agree so theoretically 20% of the forum shares your Atheist views...

dunno. I usually do not answer other Christian questions unless they are asking for help or an explanation on something. I dislike the "When did you ask Jesus..." questions as it is a bit trite.

I would rather go against you and do so in a way that you might hear the truth and become a true lover of God and his word.

I think that reason would be the titles of questions. Out of the multitude of questions, people choose the ones whose title attracts them. One of the most attractive titles are ones that outrage the person or make them feel a duty to defend. When the christian fundamentalist sees a topic with atheist in it, he/she feels outraged by their own ignorance.

that's funny but you do have a point there. I guess the answer would be no.

From what i've learnt christians and maybe muslims(some that is!) are quite prejudiced and discriminatory to atheists and biased too. Having said that I bet athiests can be that way to religious ppl.

Well they disagree because you donot agree with them! It's been your choice all along! It's better not to have preconceived notions about how people should answer your questions. You ask for opinions and you get them!

It is much easier to agree to disagree than to agree on a question that someone believes is baited or impossible to come to terms with.

I doubt it. Xtians stick together no matter what. They find a way to make sense of unfortunate events, like in the Bible.

Probably; I think the incentive to answer a question from an opposing opinion is stronger.

Unless you're a point-gamer.
