W/ blockbuster I get at least 6 movies a week, 3 in mail, 3 in store. If you don't find anything you like in-store they check in the mailers and you get the next movies in your mailbox in only 3 days versus waiting 3 days for the mailers to get there, and then 3 days back w/ netflix. BTW the movies that you get instore still have dues dates but you can keep them an extra 7 days w/o any penalties meaning NO late fees, if you do keep them longer than that you have 30 days to return it and only pay $1.25 for the entire time you had it. The ones mailed to you you can keep as long as you want. Plus you get discounts on game rentals.

I have Netflix and it is great. The movies come very quick after I send mine back. A friend of mine had Blockbuster, but said that a lot of times there would be several days of delay after sending movies back before the next ones came. So I would say go with Netflix!

Both are good, netflix beats blockbuster in customer service, and # of copies per movie. Blockbuster seems to have more obscure hard to find movies. I have both and my only complaint is blockbusters customer service or lack there of

I prefer Netflix.

Blockbuster has some questionable business practices.

Example: A store near me is listed as carrying blue-ray titles.

I called. They received about 70 copies of Spiderman 3 on standard DVD. 1 copy on BluRay. But this is enough to 'qualify' that they carry BluRay disks.

Remember when they advertised 2 night rentals - but this ment you had to get the tape in before midnight of the second night or you got charged a late fee? They got away with this for years until a lawsuit made them count a 'night' the way other stores did.

Remember when they carried 'edited' movies with the excessive language, nudity, violence edited out?

Etc.

They have over 55 million discs and ship 1.6 million a day, on average. Netflix previously claimed to spend about $300 million a year on postage. On February 25, 2007, Netflix announced the delivery of its billionth DVD.
