I would like to finally start college but it will have to be online, I'm a very busy stay at home wife/mother so my biggest concerns are...

1. Do you really go at your own pace?

2. Must you take several classes at a time, or can you opt for only 1 or 2?

3. Do you have to pay for the classes once enrolled, or after you complete the class? Do they charge by the lesson or by the credit?

Many thanks in advance!

I go to the University of Phoenix Online Through Axia College.
What they mean by going at your own pace means at least for me a little more laxed. I can go to class at night or in the morning. With UoP there is not specific time to meet anyone in the forum. You can take a break from homework and go back to it.
Class blocks are 2 classes each. Each block goes for 9 weeks and each class will only have two or three assignments due each week depending on if it is a work week or discussion week.
Apply for financial aid. It is based on income not credit and you pay your loans after you graduate. If some of the class your books are not covered by the loan, your adviser will let you know and work something out.
Links are to follow and at least ask your questions. Do not be afraid to do that.
If you want more info or have questions email me...Good luck
P.S. I started my degree in Criminal Justice early 06 and I will be done in Summer of 08 for my Assoc.
