I don't care for using pure olive oil as a conditioner. It's too hard to wash out.
I run a drop of 100% jojoba oil through my hair as a leave in conditioner. It adds a bit of sheen, washes out easily & doesn't clog pores.
For a deep conditioning treatment try these hair masks instead:
Shiny Soft Hair Treatment
In a small bowl, mash and combine: 1 avocado (1/2 for shorter hair)
1 egg yolk
1/2 teaspoon olive oil
Apply to hair and allow to remain 30 minutes or longer, then shampoo and condition as usual. http://www.care2.com/greenliving/avocado-kitchen-cupboard-beauty-tips.html
Banana Bread Head
* 1-2 ripe bananas
* 1-2 tablespoons honey
Mix together banana, and honey in a blender. Wet hair with warm water and apply. For extra penetration, use plastic shower cap or wrap your hair with a towel. Wait about 20 minutes - perfect time to try the banana mask below - then rinse thoroughly, following with shampoo and conditioner as usual. http://www.dolenutrition.com/spa_recipes_hair_1.aspx

Olive oil is an efficient moisturizer for the hair, however olive oil at very high temperature gets broken for that reason leading to little to no advantage until u similar to the taste of deep fried... Just kidin. So my suggestion is heating it on the stove for a few seconds. I put some further virgin natural olive oil in a spoon and situation it over the flame for a few seconds ample to get it fairly warm. IMHO, warming in a microwave will harm the oil. Coconut oil then again handles warmth very good.

Olive oil is so good for not only your hair but also your skin. Now it depends on your hair type how you use it. I have thick but semi-fine hair and the way I use it is to wash it first then when I put my conditioner in. I add just a spray (any store bought spray bottle will do) or 2 in my hand and start working it in from the bottom. I do it this way so it dosent get on my scalp and weigh my hair down or make it look oily. Then I just rinse it out along with my conditioner. It helps with split ends also.

You could also try lemon juice; however, dont go out in the sun with it; shampoo you hair, add lemon juice, leave it for five minutes, then rinse and condition; you can also use avocados.with olive oil, leave it in for like thirty mins. when its dry then take a shower. good luck

put olive oil in your hair and leave it in all night, dont use baby oil , thats mineral oil and it does not absorb into the skin and hair but just lay topically on it, any way, just shampoo it out in the morning. your hair will be shiny.

would baby oil work as well? i have no idea but at least you wouldn't have an organic food product in your hair. but i don't know, maybe olive oil would be better.
