Boyfriend of 3 years broke up with me. I want to get back together w/ him. He said he needs time to think and work things out and see if this is actually what he wants.. but doesnt think we will be together by christmas. Hes not getting mad that im talking with other guys and hanging out with them. But im the one that got dumped.. i'm waiting for HIM to decide. Am i wrong for hanging out with other guys?

You are not wrong at all. Listen, I'll tell you what's going on. The reason why he wants a break is b/c he feels like things are too serious between you two. That's why he's saying you will not get back for x-mas. That and the fact that he can skip getting you a gift. Don't wait for this guy. He's confused at this point. My philosophy is that if he's confused about what he wants...he doens't want me. My b/f of 4 years did the same thing to me. It was June of 2006 and he told me he needs space and wants to only think about himself. I was devistated. After 2 months he called and called and called. Finally when I gave him a chance to explain after so long he broke down and told me how he was scared b/c he felt as though we have been together for 4 years and next was getting engaged and that whole deal. He confessed that he loved me and now he knew that he was ready for the next step. Let me tell you I was really reluctant and hesitant about giving hima nother chance. I made him chase me for a while and after some time when he earned my trust I got back with him. We have been together since and happier than ever. I know at the moment it feels like the end of the world and you think you're going crazy, but be strong. If he come back to you, make him earn you back. And if he doesn't come back wanting to be with you then all you can do is learn from this experinece and apply it to your next relationship. Just be strong and live your life. Good luck, hun!

No you are not wrong for hanging out with other people. He is probably doing the same thing and not saying anything. You said it, you got dumped, so why should you be waiting for someone who may not want to be with you in the first place.

It's okay to hang out with other guys , but if you want to get back together with him, then act like you still have a boyfriend, and don't do anything that you wouldn't have done when you where with him. Don't pressure him, but set a time limit for yourself, that if he hasn't come back by a certain time, then you need to move on.

Girl...You should be able to hang out with who You want to hang out with - Male or female,As long of course as there is nothing going on between You and any of them (I am not suggesting there is...Just making a point)...If You know in Your heart that You are being loyal to him,And he has any suspitions that You are not,Those are His own insecurities,Which You have No control over...This sounds like an issue of mistrust, And if He cannot trust You...He is not worth having.
