Do you know what a zygote is, and can you tell me without looking it up? No tricks, I just want an honest answer.

@Jonathan: As most pro-life people are so inclined for religious reasons, I figured this was the best section to find them. The reason I directed the question towards pro-lifers was because I wanted answers specifically from them. Is that an issue?

(A Zygote is a bunch of cells which if left to its natural path develops into an embryo, then into a foetus then if u don't murder it )a baby. Abortion should only be allowed before 7 weeks. This is when the babies heart starts beating and it had a spinal cord and so in theory feels pain.
Mother of two unplanned but very much loved children.

A new life genetically distinct from anyone else.
Pro 6:16 ¶ These six [things] doth the LORD hate: yea, seven [are] an abomination unto him:
Pro 6:17 A proud look, a lying tongue, ***and hands that shed innocent blood,***
Pro 6:18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
Pro 6:19 A false witness [that] speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

The earliest stage of individual life. It's the state of an animal directly after the egg is fertilized by the sperm.
Now my questions: why ask this question to only those of us who are anti-death? how is this a religious question?
Perhaps I should refer you to my wife over in the science section of Y! Answers.
EDIT: "Abortion should only be allowed before 7 weeks"? Is that the magical point at which life begins? Is this the Torah according to Ms. Harris? Why stop there? Why not allow infanticide up to three years of age? Why can't we kill our kids until they are old enough to provide for themselves? The age of a human does not dictate its worth. GK Chesterton said, " I say let every child be born. Then let me drown the ones I don't like." At least he would wait to find out whether or not he liked the child. Abortion of life is violence, no matter what the stage of life or the relation of that life to another body. "Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent." - Isaac Asimov
EDIT 2: Indeed, Sam, it is an issue. Even prior to my relationship with Christ, I opposed abortion on a scientific and humanist basis. When a child is an infant, an embryo, or a zygote, it is still a human. Killing one's own offspring is acting contrary to nature and the advancement of the species, and more specifically, to the advancement of one's own bloodline. In human society, bloodline is power. One teaches their offspring their way of life and ideals and receives love and admiration from the offspring. These two aspects of the parent-child relationship provide a sort of immortality to the parent. Though the mother's body dies, her ideas, ideals, and cytoplasm live on. Killing her offspring is killing her future. Scientifically, the zygote is a human. If it is not a homo sapiens, what species is it? If killing another human (not in self-defence) is wrong, it is wrong no matter what the age of the human. If the argument of dependence is made, the child should be murderable until at least the age of eight, when it could (possibly, not legally) work for its own food. Abortion is murder. It is against nature, human social mores, and God. There is no denying that abortion is extinguishing a life. The only question that remains is, Should we be allowed to terminate the life of another human whom we find inconvenient?

Life.
To end such a life, if it be human, is Murder.
No exceptions.
If NASA found such life, say on mars, by remote means, the whole world would be tripping over themselves to get there hands on it.

It's what is before embryos. From one zygote you can have one embryo, or many (monozygote twins)
