It is probably "De donde eres" Which means where are you from.

Donde is where
Eres is you are but not to be confused with estas which is also you are.
Eres is more permanent like you are a boy or you are a girl. Estas is temporary like you are sick or you are tired.

Donde eres means Where are you.
De donde eres = where are you from.
Donde estas=where are you, or where are you living.-

"De donde eres" means "Where are you from?"
"Donde eres" would mean something like "Where are you?" as in, you are pretending to be a country right now.
"Donde estás" would mean where are you, as in, "What is your present location?"
