Ive had a swollen lymph node in my left neck for about 4 weeks now. It sometimes becomes painfull and sometimes it is not. It is rubbery, free to move and about 2cm in diameter. It has not grown since i initially discovered it and the doctor i visited was not at all concerned. He scheduled several blood tests which he claimed would rule out Leukimia and lymphoma. They came back normal and i am now just waiting for my antibodies test to come back.
Anyone else had this problem?

generally speaking, painful lymph nodes are usually due to infections. It is the painless swelling lymph nodes accompanied by unexplained weight loss, unexplained fevers or night sweats that might mean cancer. The Dr is just being careful but it is doubtful you have cancer - maybe mono or some other infection. good luck on your tests

Do you happen to notice that it is sore after drinking alcohol? That is a classic lymphoma symptom. Have you had any unusual/excessive sweating at night? That's another sign that I had never heard of. Most puffy lymph nodes are just indicative of normal infection, but if the node doesn't decrease in size and you continue to worry about it, other tests can be done on it (most likely a CT scan which is painless, like an Xray) or an aspiration biopsy, which on a 1-10 pain scale, is a fairly easy 3.5 But it's a lot better than worrying about what it might be.

I hope it's nothing and it clears up quick.

Dude, that is exactly how I started. I can tell you with me, no tests showed anything until a biopsy was done. My news wasn't good. I hope that yours is good. There are many things that cause lymph nodes to swell, so it may not be cancer. But, you need to know for sure.
If you have reason to suspect Lymphoma, here is where you'll find the best info:
