my basketball tryout is this friday and i'm so nervous for it. i alwayz get nervous when an event is going to happen. i know that i'm going to make it to the team for sure but i'm just nervous. whenever i'm nervous i alwayz vomit like the time wen i was in 4th grade in everyplay i would vomit and it was so embarassing. and i don't know how to stop it. so my questions is how do i stay calm so i don't puke in front of everyone in the tryout? also, wenever i'm too tired i alwayz puke too and that is a problem because in a basketball game it requires u to run back and forth i can do that but if it is too long i'll gag. so how do i stop all this? what's wrong wit my body?? i can do all of thi sfine with my friends but just not in front of 100 or more people looking at me. i only puke wenever there is pressure on me like wen everyone is looking at me and that makes me nervous therefor puke. and i'm not going to quit the team. thanks for all the advices

I agree with the below answer...
Anxiety & nervousness are TOTALLY normal.
If I was you I would go to a doctor & tell them.
They'll probably start you off on a low dose of effexor (venlafixine)
It takes a few months sometimes for these drugs to get into your system so you really have to be patient with yourself...

Who knows I'm not a doctor, that's why you should go to one.

I know it's rough waiting to get into the gym and stuff, but once you're out there on the court and warmed up, I think you'll suprise yourself.

You'll do great!
Just take deep breaths, relax, and keep your mind on the game. You can do it!

Try to hold busy and feature trust. Don't over conceit your self however hype your self up correct earlier than the sport. By now our workforce will have to have a ritual that is helping the whole workforce, i.e. prayer, looking historical tapes of competitors, mascot efficiency,and so forth. But something i consider might relatively support is in the event you get a few relaxation. Play a few song, or name your female friend, or anybody thats up past due and loves to speak at the cell. So u can speak until the either one of u get worn out and get a few relaxation. If u simply lay down and check out to fall asleep with out a support ur gonna force yourself loopy simply considering it so you want some thing to get your brain off whats the results of tommorow.

Assure yourself that it won't be the end of the world if you fail. Give yourself some inner peace. If you win, great. If you fail, that's okay too. You'll find something else or maybe you'll succeed next time. By giving yourself permission to fail, it takes the pressure off. Now don't confuse this with enbabling yourself to fail. Give it your all, but prepare for defeat.
