A loss of more than 35 decibels in either ear at 500, 1000 and 2,000 cycles per second on the audiometer or more than 45 decibels at 4,000 and 5,000 cycles per second is disqualifying.

It depends. Unilateral hearing loss usually means that there may be something going on "in the ear" itself Rather than just exposure to loud noises. Also if there is any pathology other than just the loss hearing. If you know your audio-gram results, it would be helpful.

the reality which you extremely prefer to connect with serve your united states is noble, however the justifications in the back of their determination is smart. inspite of the reality that it wasn't a inevitably common noise you pay attention on a daily basis, you prefer listening to in the two ears through fact in case you dont, how might you have the skill to pay attention your commanding officer provide an order or fellow troops asserting their friendly on your undesirable ear element. regrettably, thats the way it extremely is.

If you are disallowed on the grounds of partial disability thank your lucky stars that you won't be coming home fully disabled as a result of fighting Uncle Sams oil wars

I don't think so, you have to be able to hear real good, I know a boy that got turned down because a small case of Asthma, he went on and join Houston Fire Dept. You can ask your recruiter because these days Bush will let anyone go in regardless of the danger it will have on you and your troops. Because he could care less about your safety or theirs.
