I do the body jam (Les Mills) sessions at the local gym.

It's like going out to a night club!

If you want to tone the stomach and work the obliques, you'd do best to do some sort of dance that involves that area. Belly dancing or Latin dancing would be ideal. Take salsa classes a couple of times a week and go dancing on the weekends!

Big breakfasts, smaller lunch and dinner. Low GI foods. Plenty of water.

My advice is not to think of it as a once off 'fat attack', but a life style change. You need to find a hobby that is FUN and calory burning. If your excercise is not fun, then you will allways end up stopping and piling on the pounds again.

Join a dance club, or a jogging club and work towards completing a race with other people. Share your pain with others and it will be easier. Change your diet but don't give up all things you like, just eat sensibly and only when your hungry. Drink lots of water as its good for you and makes you feel fuller.

Good luck.

First of all, checking with a personal trainer is your best bet to get exactly what you need. blah blah blah.

Now, I have to say, that if working out is a pain, then it is next to impossible to keep on it. I have found that doing things I enjoy is the only way to lose weight. I play basketball 4 nights a week and have lost a lot of weight. I love to play. Before, this I was trying bikes, treadmills, walking, running..... and nothing was consistant. So find something you like to do.
Sounds like you will have to include a weight training schedule into your routine. There is nothing easy about this and honestly, some people like it others do not. If you are one of the ones who dont like it that much, the best thing you can do is find a motivated person to keep you motivated. This is key! Everyone needs a workout out buddy to push them and keep them on track.

Hope this makes sense and helps.
