Senator Grassley, top GOP on the Senate Finance Committee, has requested information from a number of televangelists for an investigation into financial wrong doings. The investigation is focusing on ministry expenses, executive compensation and amenities given to executives.

Information was requested from: Randy & Paula White, Benny Hinn, David & Joyce Meyer, Kenneth & Gloria Copeland, Bishop Eddie Long, and Creflo & Taffi Dollar.

Your thoughts?

Yes. They are being investigated because they're claiming tax-exempt status due to their being a "church" or religious organization, but if the money is going into their pockets, or to pay for personal luxuries, then it's not going to church-related things, and then they have no right to claim tax-exempt status on it.

Why not?
Televangelists suck millions of dollars out of pensioners and the working poor. They prey on peoples gullibility. I don't recognize half the names up there, but Benny Hinn is a notorious con artist.
Other notable televangelist conmen are Pat Robertson, Peter Popoff, Oral Roberts, Jimmy Swaggert, Jim Bakker

Interesting. I know that, waaaaay back when I used to live in Iowa, Grassley thought of himself sort of a "maverick" politically.

Everyone you named there is a false prophet (some say with the possible exception of Joyce Meyer, though in the past she used to say MANY doctrinally questionable things), so maybe God is bringing this down.

If a person has done no wrong, then there should be no objection.
Unless a person has something to hide or keep in the shadows!
Then it must be brought out into the Light!

I think its a great thing. Most (not all) televangelists are crooked and need to be outed if they are. They really are nothing but religious predators.

Good! They should be investigated for lying and falsifying the truth.
