Eat lots of whole grain carbs about 1 hour prior to your workout. This will give you energy to sustain you throughout a rigorous workout. Within 1 hour of finishing your workout, eat a bunch of protein and some more whole grain carbs. A protein shake now, and again three hours later, would also help. The protein is your muscles' lifeblood. This will help to rebuild what was torn down during the workout, and the carbs help rush the protein to the muscles. Besides directly before and after a workout, you should eat between 6 and 9 small meals a day. Ideally, most body builders will recommend a 40% Protein - 20% Fat - 40% Carb breakdown per meal. The frequent meals will keep your metabolism high, allowing more fat to be burned. A good rule of thumb is to include a fistful of protein in each meal. As this is probably a big jump from what you are currently eating, you might want to limit the fats a little more. Also, stay away from super-processed carbs, like white bread, chips, foods high in sugar, etc. Good luck! And remember, this is to gain muscle. There will be a big caloric increase, so if you don't exercise hard, you'll find yourself gaining fat instead of muscle.

Pure Twinkies? Where is your head at?

Everyone knows that you must consume Coca Cola at the same time.

That way you build up so many zits that they actually begin to look like layers of muscles.

Pure Twinkies. What a doofus!
