Some really expensive stuff, like hydro shocks, work great, but they are about $1 per shot!

I've been shooting a bunch of ammo my friend's grandfather gave me, but it keeps causing strange errors like poor feeds and stovepipe jams.

What is the best ammo, for the money, for a generation 1 Glock model 21 in .45 ACP.

Thanks!

I use the winchester ammo you can get from walmart 100 rnds for like 25 bucks, its 240gr ball ammo but it is good for practice and is little cheaper than the hydros and such, and my 21 loves it, slightly newer than a first gen but still works the same, also ya might want to check or replace your magizine springs or have a gunsmith polish the loading ramp, should help with the stovepiping

Glock usually can digest anything fed to it. Sounds like you are shooting some impotent ammo.

Sounds like they are low power. I assume you are used to shooting this and it's normally reliable? If it's new to you them are you limp wristing it? You need to hold on to it so that the whole gun doesn't recoil and follow the slide back. Sorry, I had to ask.

I shoot anything that comes to hand, the bulk gunshow 230gr round nose works fine for me.

Many weapons show a fondness for a particular brand of ammo...try several brands and see if this is true for you.
