I have looked online at both Ron Paul's site and Fred Thompson's site and both are for the 2nd Amendment and protecting our rights. It seems though Ron Paul is a little more on fire for the whole thing. I just want to know whom everyone (if you do not mind sharing) is voting for between these two individuals and who the NRA is promoting.

Please, if you are not for the 2nd Amendment or hunting your response is not needed. As the same if you are not voting for either of the mentioned candidates.

Interesting because of all the candidates, these are the two that I feel are closer to my own political views. Gun rights is certainly one of the key positions I look for, but on a bigger perspective I look for people that believe that government should be limited in their power and in my life.
I am one of those that feels that our government has grown too big and powerful and needs to be seriously reduced.

I don't have a party anymore, I consider myself an independent. Want to know my political position? Read the United States Constitution. If it's not in there, Washington has no business in the matter.

Right now I'm with Fred as I don't think that the men from New York or Massachusetts are actual conservatives and I have an issue with Ron Paul's foreign policy.

If either of the Communists from the Democrat Party get elected, I guess I'll be categorized as an "insurgent", whatever that is.

While both men are strongly pro second ammendment, my choice right now is Fred Thompson. Overall, Fred's political views more closely reflect my own. I know Ron Paul and know him to be strongly pro second ammendment but we differ on a few other points. Ron's a good guy, though.

Fred Thompson.

Any support I could have had for Congressman paul went out the window when he blamed the US and Israel for 9/11
