but why are some people saying things like "this forum is for Ramadan only" etc? I think it's better to post Islamic questions in this forum rather than R&S because we've all seen the stupid responses people give there, especially to Islam related questions. However in the Ramadan forum it's mostly Muslims so we have a better chance of getting good answers rather than stupid immature comments. So does it REALLY matter if we ask non-Ramadan questions here?? I think not.

Well Ramadan is technically the month in which it is said all the scriptures(Torah, Gospal, Quran) from Allah(SWT) were sent. I see no issue in learning and sharing about Islam in a section titled Ramadan.

omg! i totally agree with u! i've been posting questions here like crazy! i growing to really dislike the R&S section. i'm new to islam and the christians would tell me to quit islam and worship jesus, which i don't have a problem with, accept....it's shirk! n e way, i'v e almost got turned away from islam soooo many times, that i've bout had it, i wish there was a sections for each religion... man.....that way people wouldn't say "this question isn't about ramadan.." i hate that! but yea.....i think r&s sections is just another thing that stands in the way of us trying to be good muslims!

Very good idea, sister!
We, Muslims can come and make this forum work for us like an Islamic version of R&S, I find this interesting.

And regarding that the forum name wouldn't match the content itself, as some may think, I don't think so, let's think about it from another viewpoint; Ramadan is intended to make Muslims live life in the most "perfect" way Allah want to them, so Ramadan is the "model" of the whole life for a Muslim.
Similarly, this forum will be the "model" where we gather to talk about our beautiful religion to seek Allah's satisfaction and ask Him to take us to the right way.

As salaamu alaikum, sister.

I really like this section, because mainly Muslims answer in the Ramadan section and you are spared from the not-so-great and hateful answers by the non-Muslims.

And it's even more comfortable for me here, because the brothers and sisters who come to the Ramadan section share the same beliefs as me.

And I absolutely agree with you that we have a better chance getting good answers to Islam related questions here rather than the R&S section.

The only problem I see is that most non Islamic folk will not look here....They are not that open-minded enough to view a site like this.
The name of this forum is Ramadan so maybe this is why people look to this site for Ramadan.

I don't post only Ramadan question here. Yeah R&S category is a team of so called religious people who are bashing each other, it is truly non-sense there. I don’t like it, and we should come on the Ramadan category to post anything we want to discuss with other Muslims. I got a violation because I said, “this is what the Ramdam category turned into”, about the guy who posted a question about his gay issue. I thought it was a fake question, there is a few negative people doing that!!!

R&S is not a good place at all to post questions because the kind of replies the people give there just makes my blood boil because i am a little bit short tempered lol. i like this place as it is free of most of the non-sense that you find in the R&S. although Ramadan is visited by some mentally frustrated non-muslims, but still we should also continue to visit the R&S section too since there are muslims and other people who are curious about islam posting there.

As Salam Ale Kum

The Idea is really great in order to run away from stupid answer....

However by doing this we will not be sharing the teaching of
Quran n Hadith with non-muslim.

If few of you remember this guy LOTUS PAGAN, He is a non-muslim and he had finally posted a Question asking us what to follow in Islam. And he has started reading Quran. If Allah wishes he may revert to Islam one day. Insha Allah...
And Allah Know what is right n what is wrong.

This happened coz of the Debates (Non- Verbal), Stupid answer and somewhere a person got a intrest to study Quran and the teaching of Muhammad (Peace be upon him)

Take it has a way to spread islam, Dont focus on that few stupid answer.

Now most of us know each other among our Islamic Brother`s and Sister`s.

If you feel some stupid Answer are there :

Follow simple steps :

1] All of us should mark it down.

2] Make it a point to vote for the answer you feel is the best
acc to Quran n Hadith. (Cross Check it before marking)

B`coz when tomorrow someone search for a answer on
yahoo search engine. It will show your answer and if it is
wrong you are responible in front of Allah for that.

3] It is then easy to check the right answer by using the filter
"Highest rated Answer"

Also acc to my thinking yahoo is just building a database for Question n Answer on all sort of topics for it`s search engine. And like yahoo 360 one day even this Answer.yahoo.com will be closed. So try to ask and answer as musch as possible and at the right location n right ref frm Quran n hadith
(i.e. Society & Culture - Religion & Spirituality)

May Allah bless us with right knowledge.

It doesn't matter to post non-Ramadhan things here as this is the only place we can have our Islamic discussion almost free from the other believers. Its a name of a "place".

I think if it calls "Islamic", it will attract some of the others to provoke; let us have aquiet plc here.

I still go to R&S, I have some friends there from the other believes which have good questions abt general things.
And also its nice to see how the others think.

seriously speaking,i don't think anyone has any issues concerning Ramadan right now..and like you said, we simply get butchered by the others at R&S, and Ramadan is a lot more peaceful and fun(although a bit slow..)just ignore those who say otherwise, because i think majority of muslims agree with you,me included..
