What kind of loser? I'd say a major loser, a total pawn, a nothing.
Or, maybe god promised him ten virgins of his own in heaven if he would just not get horizontal with Mary until after the god child came along, who knows?

You're viewing the situation through worldly eyes. The bible calls Joseph "a righteous man." He made a sacrifice of his sexual desires and his personal reputation in taking Mary as his wife, when he knew the child wasn't his...
"Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.
But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus,[c] because he will save his people from their sins."
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: "The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel"[d]—which means, "God with us."
When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus."
(Matthew 1:18-25)

Joesph was a very honorable man and a servant of the Lord...He took Mary as his wife, he had the honor of being the step father to the son of God....
that any of us would have that great of a heart and soul before God to be such a loser......
you are not worthy to follow his donkey to pick up the chips for a fire.....

And so you believe that you are more manly than Joseph? Joseph had the greatest honor any man could have, foster Father of Jesus and spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary, now when the day comes when you are way too old to have sexual relations,Joseph will still be greatly blessed, but what will you be?

Learn to read, Jeff. I mean REALLY read so that you comprehend. You missed the main idea AND the details.
You can do better.
I have more confidence in you than you do, apparently. Read the story again. Joseph was not to have sex with Mary until after Jesus was born. The Bible tells us that.
