You can run another perm thru your hair, but just know, this will dry your hair out, and you will need to have deep conditioning treatments.
When you run another perm thru your hair, just squirt on the perm solution, and with a wide tooth comb, keep combing your hair straight. Neutralize, etc.
Or, you could use some heavy conditioning shampoos, conditioners, etc., to try to weaken the perm. You are supposed to wait 24 hours or so after a perm before you shampoo. The more often you shampoo & condition, the faster you will loosen the curl formation.
On the flip side, dish washing liquid is very high in alkalinity, just like a perm. You can try shampooing, several times, with dish washing liquid like Dawn or Palmolive. Let it remain in your hair a few minutes each time. Be sure to follow up with a heavy conditioner, as this is very drying.
Finally, there are salon products made to control curl/frizz, like: Tigi Control Freak, Shampoos, Conditioners and Styling products. With these and a flat iron, you might have it under better control.

If you haven't washed your hair for the 'three days' after you got your perm, I may be able to help you. What you need to do is get a REALLY STRONG 'conditioner' from a hairdresser (yes, it's expensive ... but it's WORTH IT) and then put it onto your freshly washed hair, wrap a towel around it, and sit somewhere HOT for at least an hour. Then rinse your hair and give it another shampoo ... then let it dry 'naturally.' Your 'frizz' should be gone and the curls should be a bit looser ... more what you wanted. The rods were NOT 'too small' because perms 'relax' and that can take up to two weeks ... but the 'frizzies' are because your hair is DRY, and the conditioning treatment will 'moisturize it' and make it more like 'normal.' You may do this 'heavy condtioning' treatment ONLY once a month, and ONLY if your hair is really dry or frizzy ... but it DOES help ...

A perm continues to be actively curling your hair for quite a while after you get it done (that's why they tell you not to wash it for a coupla-few days after getting the perm). So, wash it.. Also, look for curl relaxing products at a drug store or supermarket (the kind black people use). That will help release some of the curl from your hair. Be careful not to overprocess your hair, burning it and drying it out. You don't want to end up with a frizzy, loose 'fro.

Go back. A decent stylist should correct it. Try talking to the manager of the salon and tell them you had concerns about the size rods they used but the stylist assured you. Let them know that you are not satisfied and they should correct the problem. If not, all you can do it straighten it and hope that in a few days it will loosen up some. If you just got it done then some of it will fall out with time.

When I was younger, I got a perm and it was the same kinda thing, I had envisioned nice soft curls and came out with frizzy ringlets, I went and got a home perm kit and just combed it into my hair, it's going to damage your hair even more but it will relax it,

go to the store and get some frizz control formula's . or you can go get pink hair lotion this moisturizes it and makes it shiney . you can also use greece. spelling? it gives your hair much nutrients and helps make it softer. i would def say stay away form straighteners for a while because it wont help with your hairs condition only make it worse. so make sure you always have a leave in moisturizer in and just leave your hair in a pony for a couple of days . after a certyain amopunt of washes your hair will calm down A BIT after some of the chemical washes out

Try buying some products meant for people with curly hair. You can find things that will help you straighten the curly hair or products that just help tame the frizz so the curls look nice. Try John Frieda's Frizzease or Biosilk silicone serum (not sure of the exact name).

Hahaha welcome to my world... except mine's natural so I get to live with it forever... my suggestion would be... make the best of it! Buy shampoo and conditioner at the store that will soften your hair and take away the frizz OR embrace the frizz! Let it go wild every once in a while, and don't obssess over it. I know you're used to having perfectly tamed, straight hair, but you'd be surprised by how awesome wild hair can look. Just don't fuss over it!
