My eyes get very swollen the following night if I have cried the day before. So swollen, that I look like I have suffered an elergic reaction to something. My eyelids more than double in size and it is not like normal puffyness after a good cry.

I used old cold teabags. takes the puffy straight away after 20 minutes or so. Preparation H will indeed reduce swelling, but get it in your eye and you can blind yourself...don't recommend it.

slice cucumbers and lay them across your eyes. this helps some people to have less puffy eyes from crying.
But why are you crying???

Try cold wet teabags.

run a rag under warm water, and then put it on your eyes-it helps
