I made chilli with bread bowls made out of biscuits. Just flip a cupcake tin upside down and flatten out a biscuit ( I used buttermilk "Grands") and form it over the top of the tin to form a bowl. Bake according to pkg directions. and the 'bowls' pop right off. Throw together a quick chilli and you'll be done. Good luck with whatever you decide:)

Take out is something that gets old when you do it too often. I also hate Hamburger Helper and the like. If you like to do a little creative cooking to get out of the rut of take out, try making your own version of Hamburger Helper: (I hope you are cooking for more than one, but if not, this freezes well in a freezer bag)
Take a pound of ground beef and brown it.
Drain the fat.
In a pot, boil up some elbow macaroni according to package directions.
Stir into the pan with the browned ground beef, some spices like garlic and onion and cumin & maybe a little oregano.
Add one can of tomato sauce and one can of diced tomatoes to the meat mixture.
Grate some cheese or get some pre-grated cheese and mix that into the cooked macaroni.
Mix all the ingredients above into the larger of the two cooking vessels and let simmer for about ten minutes stirring occasionally.
A good hint is to wash the dishes as you use them so you don't have alot of dishes to wash once you have eaten and don't want to think about anything but sitting down to watch a good TV show after dinner.

Well, you didn't clarify whether it'd be a family meal or if you are dining solo. Sooo, Me, being a fan of seafood, would run to the market and get a pound of crab legs, some butter and some fresh parsley, or a pound of shrimp and boil or saute them with a side of drawn butter with parsley and garlic, a side salad(mine would contain spinach, walnuts, feta, strawberries, and mandarin oranges with raspberry vinegrette which you can purchase in stores (made by Wishbone) and a good wine. If it's for your fam, I'd suggest, turkey burgers or maybe baked chicken and salad, and sweet potatoes. Grreat Luck!!!

Chicken Noodle Soup
(not the canned kind)

Just get a mix that you can add water too and simmer for 20 mins. Then add some of the pre-cooked chicken pieces that are available in the refridgerated section of the market.

I did that last night for a quick supper and had some bread and butter with it.

It was surprisingly filling and delightful!

if your bored try something that is time consuming, such as a fancy full course meal or something with a bunch of side dishes.
If not, try something easy like a chicken wrap or a sub sandwich
