Rom 1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed [it] unto them.
Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Rom 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified [him] not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Because I took the time to read the bible. Think about it;
It is a piece of history- This book didn't come out on the new york best seller's list 2 weeks ago; it's been in circulation for over 500 years.
The events depicted in the bible go hand in hand with historical evidence found. I guess the only real clash between them is all the "super natural" things that happened. But the wars, Kings, it's all in there.
Third- it is the word of the Lord. There is not one man on this earth now or ever that can write a book like the bible. You will never find anything that remotely comes close. The accuracy of the stories is amazing. That is why I believe. I was not pushed into it.

God exists. You can say that while everything passes away, somethings are eternal and timeless. That something is God.
People believe in God because they don't want to die. Rather they want to find something beyond this life. We can see that man is capable of so many amazing things. Thinking and creating. We look at the Universe and think that if man who is such a small part of the Universe is capable of so much, then what must be the collective potential of the Universe. It has to have every human achievement and much much more.
If you try to understand set theory: the whole is at least the sum of the parts. Then all the properties of the Universe, including sentience , apply to that Universal set. If the Universe has the property of sentience then it's living. That's why I believe in the living God who is Universal.

You're all stupid. I can tell you why too. people claim there is a God and he is doing this and that, While you really don't know, You are spreading the word of something as though it is fact when you really don't know if it's true or not. This is one of the biggest signs of a complete idiot. So many just repeat what they are told like puppets. everybody claims to "Feel" God. and says that it must be God because there are things that are not understood.
How about when we didn't understand Math, does that mean God is responsible for it's creation and it's answers, What about when we didn't understand Corn growth, does that mean God is responsible for it's answers?, Well funny thing is we believed it was God. Now we know the true answer of course. We know we don't have to make animal sacrifices to bring the sun up everyday to appease the sun God. As knowledge grows religion shrinks, because religion is simply an explanation for the unknown that is used to satisfy the idiots of the time.
So have fun rolling around in your Stupid. and on top of it.
No, I don't believe in God.

Because if you really think about it there is no explanation for how the world came to be except him. It has been proved that people who believe in God , pray to him, and go to church have a healthier life and recover from injuries faster. But I guess the main reason I believe in God Is because he has answered all my prayers and they may not have been the way I wanted him to, but he still did answer.

A number of reasons.
1. I was raised into a family that believes in God
2. He has answered my prayers in ways that I know isn't just coincidence.
3. I've seen people with the Holy Ghost
And lastly, if all of the above turns out to be fake or a figment of my imagination...
4. He is a very good idea. (Minus the violence and hate that Christians have brought to the belief).

There are many more reasons to believe in God than there are not to. A man has to have been blinded by the god of this world if he overlooks or refuses to acknowledge in nature the continual working of God.

~Look around at the trees, the birds, and even the stars. Its impossible not to. God is the force that created everything we see, and She manifests herself within all of it. That force of life that keeps everything going, that energy, that is God.
EDIT: I can tell by some of the answers you are receiving that a LOT of people believe in God only because they have been conditioned to do so. Many answers seem to be merely regurgitating quotes and passages they have read or heard elswere. This is a sad world...

Because everything around us is so complex. Friggin people view Microsoft Windows or the Mac OS as a complicated program, but friggin the DNA code is like 10 trillion times more complicated.
Friggin how do cells know how to put a body together? Each cell is complicated as hell and do things automatically. Scientists can somewhat explain "how" but never "why" when it comes to cell formation. Why do electrons stay together. There isn't an answer, because God gives the lifeforce. Let along how huge and powerful the galaxy is.
Humans are like flees in the big picture.

I believe in God and am a Christian first off because, I have experienced the drawing of the Holy Spirit in an undeniable fashion. But since I know that is something the natural man cannot understand I will speak only of things in the natural so that maybe you can understand and pray for the Holy Spirit to draw you.I used to believe in evolution to a degree before I became a christian and even afterward, but the more I look into it there is much more evidence against it than for it and I see the evidence for an intelligent designer everywhere. The staggering amount of information contained within a single strand of DNA, the complex nature of the universe and the amount of things that had to come together to produce a planet conducive to the life we see on earth, screams of a designer in my book.Christianity is the only religion in the world that has the kind of historic evidence that it does.I believe the Bible as the Word of God. It contains amazing prophesies and truths that are way ahead of it's time that could have only been possible by revelation to the prophets from an intelligent being.( I recommend The Case For Christ by Lee Strobel or The Signature of God). Christ and his life are spoken of by many secular historians such as Tacitus, Suetionius, Pliny the younger,Epictetus and many more. I believe Christ was risen from the dead. I do not believe every single disciple( besides John) would have died a marters death for a lie. I believe that they saw a risen Christ and therefore could not deny it unto death. There are so many more reasons I believe. God bless!!
