'Regulae ludi' should work, or possibly even 'leges ludi' if you're talking about the formalized, written rules.

'Modus ludi' would seem to fit better as 'how to play the game'.

I'm not really sure, but my guess is "modus ludendi," "method of playing." That can't be too far off, though someting better may very well be out there.

"Operandi" is a form of the verb "operor," which means "work, operate." I don't think it would apply to sport or amusement.
