I believe my happiness is more important than other people's. I know I have this belief because the idea of giving money to sponsor children in Africa isn't as appealing as buying a top games PC.

How did I come to believe in what I do? I don't know. My mum/school never taught me. I think it is built-in. Factory default.

I believe in myself. I believe in the power of the human mind to create, change and destroy all or part of the reality as that person perceives it. I believe that all reality is a matter of perception. I believe there is no such thing as truth or lies, good or evil, everything is merely a matter of a point of view. Muslim radicals believe americans to be heathens and evil. We believe them to be violent terrorists incapable of a kind thought or word. Neither of these perceptions are accurate but neither are inaccurate either because they are perceptions.

I believe in much more, but there just isn't enough space here to go into it.

"Well, I believe in the soul, the small of a woman's back, the hanging curve ball, high fiber, good scotch, that the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent, overrated crap. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days."

Pantheism
It complements science and is the only thing that makes sense(along with atheism). Everyother religion uses too many assumptions.

I believe my mother loves me. Nearly 53 years of evidence to back it up. She told me again on Saturday during my weekly phone call to her.
