Once a month, depending on which product you are using.

Hi - This is the first time I have answered any question so here goes! My cat has just had her 2nd litter. I believe it is recommended newborn kittens are wormed at 6, 8, 10 and 12 weeks (although the vet would recommend from 2 weeks onwards - I wonder why)?! Then, once a month until 3 months of age, then once every 3 months. Last time I tried Panacur paste which I found quite messy. Then I tried Stronghold which is a dual womer and flea treatment liquid that you apply to the back of the neck - very quick and easy. It is a bit more pricey though, at nearly £5 a time from the vet. Does anyone know if you can get it cheaper as I am worming 5 kittens at the moment?!! I hope this helps - and will keep an eye on your question to see if I can get some good advice from others too.

Animals including cats do not need to be wormed routinely. If they are not in a situation to get fleas or other parasites ,it is not necessary. Have your vet check for worms and go from there.
My 18 year old cat hasn't been wormed since she was 6 years old as she is an indoor kitty, no fleas and sees the vet.

they are usually dewormed on each of their vaccine visits. There should be two.. You can start at 8 weeks of age with the distemper, then at 12 the distemper booster and the rabies. If the cat is going outside, then the FELV vaccine should also be given at the same schedual as the distemper.

and unless you notice problems, they usually don't deworm again. You can routinely deworm, but why would you if you aren't seeing a problem? - well then again if the cat hunts and regularly eats critters... maybe you would want to.
