OR

is there an outside standard of goodness which god agrees to

you arent answering the question

everything good came from god is no sort of answer

im saying is goodness independent of god or does he make goodness

and god has done things wrong, he killed the entire planet he knew he had made a mistake and that it was wrong by anyones standards even if the people were 'evil'

ok god made the people he drowned so he made their minds etc so he made them evil

and cain cain killed his brother cant blame man for that was the first murder

here comes the devil argument, god did not create the devil yes? so there must be evil outside of gods existence that god shies away from by the same logic there is good outside of god that he agrees with

now your gonna say that evil is the absense of god but god made the devil, i.e. the angel lucifer and gave him free will free will to be evil didnt work if evil didnt exist outside of god and im damn sure god didnt create evil so if evil exists external to god so must good

God didn't say He "made a mistake". He said He wouldn't do it again. Not the same thing, really.

As far as "morally good", by standard Christian belief, God is the standard.

Edit: I think I did answer the question. If God is the standard, then there is no "outside standard". I would quibble that things are not morally good because God says they are, they are morally good because they conform to God's character.

And, since you keep saying it, could you point me to the verse where God says "I made a mistake"?

Ok first of all, God did not say that He had made a mistake with the flood, God looked at the people that He had made and saw their evilness and was sorry that He had made them.(Genesis chapter 6 verse 6)
THAT is why He flooded the world.
Things are good because God is good.
It is not because there is a moral code that He lives up to or because God says they are good.
God is Good.
He is the light.
You can either be in the light or in the darkness and if you are not in the light you are automatically in darkness.

Morality exists independently of whether you believe in a deity, though we believe it exists because of or as an aspect of God. CS lewis spends the first chapter of Mere Christianity establishing that this objective morality is The Way, the Tao. And we believe that Jesus IS The Way embodied, you see?

Did you know or realize that man in all his glory has never created one thing. Not one. We have invented. We have took chemicals and materials and we have invented things but we never have created anything. Amazing huh! The fact is God spoke everything into existance, think about it, he created everything, now if God created everything and is all knowing and all seeing then has God made mistakes. I don't think so, The Bible says God is the same yesterday, today and forever. Hebrews 13:8. God does not change, we do. In other words God did make a mistake, man has made the mistakes, we sin everyday. That is why Jesus Christ came to earth. To die for our sins, We are all sinners, Romans 3:10 and 23. Our sins seperate us from God, that why we had Noahs flood, Gods judgement upon the earth because of sin, but Jesus washed away our sins on the Cross at Calvery, His perfect blood atonement made it possible now that all who are born again Christians to go to Heaven when we die. John 3:3. Unless you get saved and become a Born Again Christian you will not see the Kingdom of Heaven. The decision is yours. Don't let the old devil drag you down with him, he was a liar from the beginning, John 8:44, if you believe in Jesus you canbe saved, right now, let Jesus into your heart and change your life, just pray this sinners prayer of faith, Jesus is waiting, just pray Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. Jesus will now send his Holy Spirit to come and live in your heart and guide you into all truth. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

God can't be anything but good. God was sorry he destroyed the earth and the animals because of man. Hence Sodom and Gomorrah.
