Anytime she is caught exhibiting behavior you don't want, spray her lightly with a water bottle in the face. She will learn to stop.

for the whining thing you can 1) spray her with water whenever she whines (this can backfire like it did with my cat who now loves to play with water) or 2) pick her up by the scruff and pat her on the nose and in a deep voice tell her NO!!
for the curtain thing you can try putting tin foil underneath the curtains so when she walks over it she wont like the sound it makes and will stop

hope this helps

If she whines pick her up, pet her and then take her to another room. For the curtains, a spray bottle of water is in order or a loud clap of the hands.

I would recommend putting her in another room and shutting the door while you are eating. She'll whine for a while but she'll figure it out.

as for the curtains, look into soft paws (www.softpaws.com) they are fake nails for cats, and she won't be able to get a good grip on your curtains. Or you could always take the curtains down.. :)
