You deny that we are related to other animals and that we have evolved over time. There is evidence for evolution unlike God, which there is no evidence for. Even if the theory of evolution is invalid, it doesn't make the idea that we came from God because there is no evidence (it is a matter of faith). But the theory of evolution is a viable theory with plenty of evidence. Where's your evidence for God?

Lol-That's right. A complex deity capable of creating 'just existed'. Then, 'He' created a whole planet and universe, even though He was 'perfect' and would have no motivation. Then, this deity is loving so He creates another being He knows will turn evil and 'trick' some of His beloved creation into an eternity of torture. He also makes it impossible to create life individually and ony through sex but makes rules and regulations for it.
That's not weird? Crazy...

Such nice an loving question...

The ape and fish evolved from their ancestors, and we share the ape ancestor from a long long time ago.
Those came from mammals even older
Those came from egg layer animals which later developed mammalian traits (I can see your UGH face if you have read that far)
Those came from animals coming out of the sea
those came from basic life forms
Those came from amoeba (don't make those faces, your face will freeze over that way and you will get stuck with that grimace the rest of your life)
Those came from chemicals binding together in a special way (and Christians who read science books find nothing wrong with that, they just say that God made it so)
Still here?

We don't KNOW how everything started in the beginning. But just because we don't know, does not mean for ONE SECOND that it had anything to do with a magical, invisible, supernatural being. It is childish and lazy just to attach a "Goddidit" to everything that we don't understand. All that is is MAKING UP an answer. That's it. "I don't know this information, so that's proof that (insert supernatural being's name here) did it!" If we all had that mentality, we'd still be living in clay huts and not surviving past the ripe old age of 40.

Why all the anger over evolution? Just because you are a Christian doesn't mean that science has to be off limits to you. There are many Christians who believe in evolution and there are many people who will post after me explaining natural selection as a law and microorganisms and all that good stuff. But don't be so angry, evolution and Christianity can co-exist. Just like humans and fish (according to George Bush). :)

Okay so where is your evidence that we came from some entity? You don't have any you only have faith and that isn't proof. At least evolution contains fact not fiction.

Oh and I can see your christian ~charity~ showing by the way you choose to address people..doesn't surprise me as some of the ones whos basic tenants tell them not to judge usually do the most of it.

Why is the default beginning YOUR god? Why not Zeus? Ra? Set? Quetzalcoatl? Thor?

And I don't speak for all atheists, but I don't claim to know every detail about where we came from. I simply don't believe there was a deity involved.

Dude, take a ninth grade science class and maybe that will tell you. If you paid attention in class all these years instead of ignoring what all the books and teachers and scientists were saying, you might have a better grasp of the reasoning and ideas behind the theories of Evolution.
