Well first of all, the Apostolic church is Pentecostal. We, Adventists, are not. Pentecostal churches believe that they must receive the Holy Spirit by speaking in tongues in order to prove they are saved. (Their definition of speaking in tongues is entirely different from ours). We also believe the Holy Spirit guides ppl into all aspects of Biblical truth even before they're baptized. Baptism is a public statement showing that the convert has accepted Christ as their Savior and will follow and obey Him the rest of their life.

We have numerous other doctrines (ie: state of the dead, the Heavenly sanctuary, Sabbath being the 7th day of the week (hence our name), Biblical Creation, etc...that many other Christian denominations don't follow.

Seventh-day Adventist are Christians. Like many other Christians, we believe in the Trinity, that the Bible is God's word, and above all else, that our salvation is through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.

Our most unique beliefs are (1) following the ten commandments (Ex. 20:2-17) and the examples of Christ (Luke 4:16) and the apostles (Acts 17:2) we observe the seventh-day (Saturday) Sabbath; and (2) we believe in the return of Christ for his people on this earth (the Adventist part of our name).

One of our founders was a woman named Ellen White who wrote one of the best-selling books of all times on the life of Christ - The Desire of Ages. Many Christians of all denominations have received a blessing from reading this book -- just like many other books on the life of Christ and Christianity.

Sansfear does accurately describe the Seventh-day Adventist church, and is obviously biased.

Adventists comes first in the phone book

Actually Adventists believe that a woman named Ellen White had visions and revelations from God that she wrote down in books. They believe that God is calling them to re-assert the practice of worshiping on Saturday like the Jews and Jesus once did, because "remember the Seventh day" was a commandment, but also a covenant to the chosen people. They believe that God reinstated this practice and was calling the chosen people to follow the word closely. They believe that by doing this, they will usher in the 'last days' where there will be miracles and signs and that the Catholic church will chase them into the hills and cause great persicution to them because of saturday worship.

The Apostolics believe that the gifts of the spirit have been reinvigorated through them, and that they are once again subject to the rules of the early church as practiced by Peter Paul and the others.

Edit...
AdriftFeline is right in that Adventists believe that the Sabbath was not 'reinstated' but always existed as a covenant, bad description on my part. However please don't get involved in the SDA religion. It tends to be very harmful to families, its general conference leadership has a long history of corruption, and ministers are often fired without due cause or hearing, by men who are more interested in politics than the church membership.

Before reading the SDA marketing material, look up: Ellen White Plagerism, cultism and SDA, and SDA general conference missapropriation of tithes.

The Seventh Day Adventist is just like any other church/religion. It has it's good points and it's bad points. You have to decide what you believe in asking anybody else doesn't do you any good. As for me I choose not to believe in God. As for the Sabbath being Saturday/Sunday it doesn't really matter, the calendar is man made and changes. For as much as anyone knows Wednesdays are the Sabbath. If you are believer in God, what matters is that you treat one day as your Sabbath. For the record though the Seventh Day Adventist has proven themselves to be false, unless you really believe the Second coming of Christ has already happened.
