Temporary Duty.

Any assignment from 1 to 179 days away from one's home unit or station, for training, conferences, short periods of support to other units, etc. Anything 180 days or over is a PCS, or Permanent Change of Station.

Temporary Duty: any orders that are for less than 6 months long or otherwise do not count as a PCS.

I most cases Temporary Duty...but if you are in Korea or your spouse is deployed it means Temporarily Divorced for a Year...lol
