For my english homework I have to make up a fairy story for a 5 year old I need sugetions on what to write about please help!! just remember it has to be a fairy made up story!!

well in my book it just says
write a fairy story you would read to a 5 yearold.Do not tell a fairytale you make one up
and thats it!!

Do you have to write a story about fairies or a fairy-tale? Start off with once upon a time - make a lesson to be learned in there - and end it will happily ever after. In grade school I would write stories about me being the fairy (or whatever the teacher had asked the story to be about) and the last sentence would be something like "And then I woke up; it was all a dream." Teachers love it!

A 5 year old will probably have a short retention span so make the story short. Let it be something they will know about, animals, cars, toys, etc. Then begin by describing the locality and time of day/night. Then start to get into the adventure so their interest stays with you. Have a happy ending and I'm certain the child will appreciate your story.

Have him help! Start off by saying, once upon a time there was a ..... (and let him finish the sentences!) It'll be fun! Then think of a problem the .... had and how the fairy came to the rescue or something like that!
