I like that idea. The Christian church is using rock and roll to attract young people to their bankrupt religion, which I find highly unethical. It's like an old man giving out candies to little girls to get them in his car.

Yes!
I like rock, and have no inherent problem with church, but christian rock is the worst thing to happen to music since the Monkeys.
I think the problem is that they want to make rock with a message, which is fine, but they pay more attention to the message than the music, so the music ends up sucking like Jenna Jameson moving a softball through a garden hose.

The church wants to be just like the world, so why not take their music, too?
Believers are "supposed" to be different, but how much "fun" would that be to actually turn your backs on the world and not participate in the things of the world?
Rock and Roll has NO place in the congregation of the Messiah. Wake up christians and leave the world to it's trash. You have NO RIGHT acting as they act.
Your churches have led you astray!

Seeing as rock doesn't have actual authority over me, I can't see why there should be. Sure, most "Christian Rock" sucks, but some bands make amazing music with Christian themes (Thrice, for one).

depends on the church.
I have went a few that threw rock/heavy metal together it was for the young ppl but it was a different time then. But it was an interesting way to be preached to and not be bored to death.

I used to be in a "christian rock" band. It is not a promotion of spiritual hope or growth, it is about making the believers MORE WORLDLY.
