if so, does that mean they are less likely to end in divorce than traditional marriages?

The way my wife and I bickered the past few days, ours just might have!!!
But seriously, I hope mine does. A long, long, long time from now. We work very hard so it can. Isn't that the finish line everyone wants going into a marriage?
Perhaps "darwin lied" believes in "starter marriages."

Most of them end in death when people are old just as many heterosexual marriages. They are definitely less likely to end in divorce.

Same sex marriage does not have any known effect on lifespan outside of those experienced by heterosexual marriages. However, everybody, regardless of sexual orientation, dies eventually. Once a spouse dies, the marriage is over, even if the spouse dies of natural causes.

"til death due us part" or something like that is in the wedding vowes. all marriage ends in death. i think same sex marriage is less likely to get a divorce because they musta gone through a lot to get that far.

i guess eventually ALL marriages end in death... of course, they may end by divorce, annullement, or splitting up first.... but death will find all of us at some time or another!!
and yes, i know, that isn't what you were looking for ;-)

I'm still trying to figure out what it was he was trying to get at with that... I wonder if he even knew or if he was just being defensive...
in any case, that low iq is glowing like a stop light.
I'm lovin' it.

I am not sure. I do know that my best friend and his partner have been together for 15 years and they seem happy.
