It's probably true but hey - it doesn't show much confidence in the story THEY'RE telling their children, does it?

I've read all three books. Not much in the way of brilliant narration. Pullman seems to think that by adding a ancient greek word in each paragraph deems him a genius. He is just ranting (in a very imaginative way I must say) against Catholic Dogma. Not much to do with the Bible, but then again what has that organization done in the past 1,000 years that was agreeable with God?

The question is sort of irrelevant. It doesn't take much to convince kids of things. Therefore, it's important for parents to filter what they are exposed to.
