Yes you can use the previous employers
Bear in mind that although a previous employer cannot give a BAD reference.
they can refuse to give one, which makes you look bad
as for knowing someone anybody can give a reference
a useful one is a landlords reference to show you are trustworthy
but a family friend is great (especially if they are in a high ranking job)
they only have to say that you helped out for a few weeks and were always on time, trustworthy ,well presented etc.
hope this helps good luck with the job

Yes, put down your two previous employers as your reference, if they ask for more than 2, put down your co-workers' name, the one you like and vice versa.
For the phone numbers, maybe you should write down "available upon the interview". This way you will have a chance for the interview instead of they call up for those references. Good luck

You can use the employer that you know will give you a positive reference, you can also use co-workers who can speak of how you are in action.
Very important that you ask them first before you list them - references are informal letters of recommendation, so you'll want someone who will go to bat for you.

You can list one or two of your previous employers as references and then someone that you've known for a while like a teacher or someone. You cannot list family members or friends though because they will be bias.

When they ask for job reference you must give them one of your bosses from your previous job, and close friend you have known for one year and a teacher your were close to you can used for a reference also.

You need to give details of people who have known you at least 1 yr but not related. If you have just left school/college a tutor would be a good reference.

If it asks for business references, you can put them again. If it asks for personal references, they want friends or past co-workers that can tell them if you are a good worker and what type of person you are,.

You can use those former employers again: but you mite be better off using your Minister, former teachers, co-workers, neighbors, police chief and so on. But be sure to ask their permission first, and if they say no do not use them.

It should be different people. People who can attest to your character, which is good of course? It can be any adult you are in contact with, a previous or current teacher, someone from church, a neighbor, a relative, unless it specifically states no relatives.....
