when they say liquids, gels, etc., need to be in 3oz or smaller, is that ONLY for carry-on bags or does it mean all luggage? (Going to Mexico for first time, yeehaw!)

Only carry on. If you want to be hassle free, check everything and board with only your handbag, without make-up, eye solution, mouthwash or Jack Daniels in it. Here's the deal: they don't want anyone on board with access to anything that can be made into a bomb. That stuff has to be in the luggage "hold" where you can't get to it. If you HAVE to carry eye solution or Jack Daniels, it has to be less than 3 oz. and each item has to be in a quart size baggie or they will take it away from you--even toothpaste. The exception is stick deodorant--no baggie required. Go figure.......by the way, you can get Jack Daniels on the plane for about $3 so no worries!! Have a blast in Mexico and if they lose your luggage and all your liquids, just run nakid and have even more fun!!

Only in carry on and hve to be all in one quart size zip lock bag. Check with the federal website to keep up to date on the latest rules for this. Adios Amigo.
