I have been really scared of binaural beat frequencies, as they may cause harm to one's brain. I saw?

a video on youtube that talks about Lucid Dreaming and I heard a strange noise at the beginning. I am worried that it is a binaural beat frequency. Is it?:

First, don't believe everything you see on the internet, except for anything written by me, of course! ;)

Second, the definition of "binaural beat frequencies" (BBF) is at the link, below, which, for all I know is total fiction, but, Wikipedia is pretty good about policing its info, so, at the very least, take it with a grain of salt. The gist of it is that two different frequencies, each heard in one ear, can produce a single "beat" or "rhythm" (i.e., stereophonic sound), though not necessarily something that a human being would recognize or "hear", which may induce various states of mind, primarily to induce relaxation.

Third, the fact that you have even heard of BBF's means that you are far more knowledgeable than you claim (or are far more gullible!), and, as such, you obvioiusly know there is nothing to worry about (or, that there IS, and you need to bury yourself in a concrete bunker 50 feet below ground! Quick! Hurry!). ;)

Fourth, after glancing at the link and a few other websites, I believe you would be more likely to suffer damage from listening to excessively loud music than BBF's (just ask anyone who has stood too close to a car blasting rap, assuming they can hear, anymore, of course!). ;)

Where did you hear that such frequencies can cause harm to your brain? I've read about those frequencies but have seen no studies or claims of brain damage, and I can't imagine how sounds could cause a neurological problem.

Can you give more information?
