average over lifetime I suppose - or average number before "settling down"

like "oh ok I've sown my wild oats and now I feel comfortable to settle down"

don't give me any of the "oh it depends on the guy" non-answers

I'm certain you've all had a ballpark figure in your head

on average:
1= not enough
100= probably way too many

so
2?
5?
10?
20?
30?

I would say a realistic average before settling down (cuz unfortunately that can happen a few times in some peoples lives) is about 20.. or that is an acceptable average to me anyway - and plenty for someone not to feel like they haven't got to "play the field a bit" and then for a lifetime maybe 35 - 40 if settling down the first time did not take.

i say this but have only been with 5 people myself and I am 31... but I just figure some people need to look a little longer before they find the one that is right for them.

I think it depends not so much on the guy, but on how old he is. 20 might be a lot for someone who's 18, but not so many for a guy who's 40. And before the AIDS scare, people tended to have a lot more partners. I think the average guy who's over 40 would probably give you a number of 30 or more, but someone who's 20 now might never have that many.

It's a bit of a tough question but it also depends on the AGE of the guy whose settling down doesn't it? Anything over 25 in my eyes is to many but depending on the guy and whether you can over look it and start a fresh i suppose i wouldn't be to bothered as long as they didn't go round bragging about it.

** But i've got to say, how many men are actually going to tell the truth to a potential partner??? none thankyou.

Well Simon, I have a surprise for you...lol

Statistics reveal that the "average" guy has seven women sexually in his lifetime while the "average" woman has 11 - 16...!!!

That blew my mind also and decided to research it only to find the numbers were correct and representing only first world countries...

Those girls in middle school and high school that matured faster than boys certainly were hiding something from their husband whom was expecting a virgin on his honeymoon night...lol

Then, of course, those girls in college not only set new records but they also set new standards...

Married women less than age forty cheat less than married men and career women now are setting numbers of their own...

Married men cheat more after age forty...conclusive to the average age when symptoms of female menopause begins...

Now, for those older folks...retired...? They take who they can get when they can get it and enjoy it even more...both males and females alike...

Who's counting...? WINK !

I had a boyfriend who said he slept with over 300 women! I don't think that I have ever gotten a straight answer from any man. They either lie to look viral or to look like they aren't sluts. I would guess if they were going around sewing their oats it would be around 50. Not counting religious guys.

It depends on the age. I guess a guy shouldn't average more than 4 girls a year since the age of 18. If he does, he definitely a big time player.

But you shouldn't hold someone's past against them. It's their present & future that counts.
