You should read the news.

The King of Saudi Arabia visited the Pope in the Vatican.

The Pope is trying to open dialogue with Saudi Arabia that currently does not allow religious freedom for non-Muslims including an estimated 1.5 million Christians of whom 890,000 are Catholics.

What is your pastor doing to help this situation?

With love in Christ.

Although the King represents Saudi Arabia, he is not the one doing the crimes. Same as in a family, if you did something, does that mean your father did it?

I am currently working in Saudi and not a Muslim nor a Christian.

Its another PR move to gain buy-in from those on the fence about the RCC. So this leads to the question: Is this visit about recruiting more members to the RCC, or Is this a way Christ commanded us to witness to others?

True witnesses do not need media attention to lead others to Christ. Extending the olive branch under the banner of charity will not move people to accept what Christ did on the cross! Only through preaching and teaching the Word of God will soften hardened hearts towards conviction and repentance.

I have not heard about the Pope preaching nor teaching the Word in any of their "missions", especially this visit. There is another agenda unfolding.

Hmmmm.

We will see if he speaks out against the persecution of believers in Muslim countries. I won't hold my breath.

Maybe he's hoping that God will move through him to change the king's heart. Maybe the king will get "born again" and change his ways.("What man can't do...God can.")
