Use words they search for like experience instead of saying you have been doing work for three years say you have three years experience so filters will pick up the word they are looking for.
I echo the ad in my resume so if they say they want people skills or problem solving skills in my first part of the resume I will say I have people skill and problem solving skills instead of saying I am good with people and figuring out solutions to issues.

Keywords are the words in the advertisement that describe the qualifications they are looking for.
If you can use those words in your resume and your cover letter, you have a higher chance of getting an interview
