i didn't ask for people to tell my why getting baptised is wrong.. haha my beliefs on baptisim will not change.. sorry people. i am a happily baptised christian. and i am very proud of my brother for making the same decision with his life. ..
secondly.. i am aware he doesn't need a gift... hence all of my details under my question... but i wanted to get him something anyways because i love him very much.

colossians 2:12 says
12 for YOU were buried with him in [his] baptism, and by relationship with him YOU were also raised up together through [YOUR] faith in the operation of God, who raised him up from the dead.
i'm not really sure what your question is.. sorry.

well when my sisters friend got baptized she got him a cologne.
but you know what would be really cute?
if you take a picture of him and frame it like in a simple frame and you can write a bible text so he can hang in his wall or keep and hell always remember that day.

How wonderful! I can understand your feelings. Try getting him something that can help him in his ministry like maybe having his Bible and reasoning books bound together. Or perhaps a very nice tie to wear to meetings would be appropriate.
EDIT for Malice: The reason you have never heard of this is because it is done privately by close friends and family of those getting baptized. Not always, since as you point out it is not necessary or even expected. But Jehovah's people give gifts as their hearts move them and a baptism is a joyful event that may prompt some to give a gift.

You don't have to get him anything. JWs don't baptize because they want gifts, they baptize because they want to commit themselves to Jehovah. I've been raised by a JW mom, and attended conventions and never have I heard of such a thing.
Okay, read the answers and apparently they do give gifts. Well, regardless if he doesn't want anything you don't have to give him anything.

It's nice that you want to get him something. i know I didn't expect anything from anybody when I got baptized but I got stuff from my family and whatnot. but if there is something that yoy u can think of that he likes or would like, then buy him that. Or you can google ministryideaz, madzay, or stoops manufacturing and buy him something from there. Also, getting something with the date engraved is also nice.

get him a bag for his books or a bible. welcome brother. agape love. Jesus never said he was God, he is the son of the Most Holy Father Jehovah. we baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, which is Jehovah's active Force. www.watchtower.org

Question. Why is he being baptised? Colossians 2:12, JW's dont believe Jesus is God. Genesis 1:1"In the beginning God (Elohim-plural)"
Sorry, back to your question. He dont need a gift he needs Jesus Christ in his life.
