So few days ago i had asked a question about my close guy friend and now theres rumors that me and him are together and the rumor went to my parents and the rest of my family and close friends. my friends belive me that we're not together
but my family belives that we are.
help me what do i do?

Stick close to your family they must think that at certain times you are with the guy, ask them nicely when and where you were supposed to have been seen with him, let them say their piece listening carefully and take notes if you need them.
I know this sound daft but it is not for it gives you the chance to answer all they put in front of you, also are the rumor mongers jealous of you or your family that they are trying to cause problems for you?
tell your family how much more they mean to you than any thing that is causing these problems don't let the RMs see that you are bothered they will turn their attention to some one else they are the ones with the problems not you.
all the best it may take a while but you made a very wise move in oppening your heart on this otherwise the result could have been far worse, that is not the way or worth considering as an option. keep smilling for it takes more muscles to frown than it does to smile

Do the rumors really matter?? Why is it important for you to let everyone know you're NOT with someone?
Just go on living your life. Don't go out there constantly denying it. That keeps the rumors going longer than it has to. If someone says something about it....throw it back at them. Say "Would you prefer it to be true or false?" That's it. Evenutally it will die out. Don't fuel the fire though.

Really, does it matter??? If he's good enough to be a close friend, where is the harm? I would just ask them why they don't think a girl can be friends with a guy? You know the truth so what makes you care whether they believe you or not?

You tell your folks straight up how this happened - by asking a question about him and a rumor was ignited. You further tell them your friends know its not true, and you wish they believed you.
Then you shut up about it with everyone and don't "feed" anyone's curiousity anymore with comment on this guy - PERIOD - can you do that dear? Make the big effort, clam up, don't talk about him for at least a few weeks to get every one talking/thinking about someone else to gossip about!

This is a delicate situation. Well, if you want to continue beings friends then wait it out and hang out in groups. If not, Then avoiding him is probably the best thing. I used to hang out in groups and if anyone asked I would clarify that if we were truly a couple, we would look for more privacy. Mostly for something like this patience is key.

Ignore the rumors. Some people are just trying to get a rise out of you, and it worked. If you show that you don't care they will eventully get bored with it and leave you alone.

Ignore them. Similar to the saying, "Out of sight, out of mind." If you know something is 'just a rumor', then you've done all you should have to do. You won't be able to control what other people believe, so don't stress out about it.

Make a BIG rumor of the guy that made rumors of you i mean BIG.let your friends help you.

Well first of all that sucks and you have good friends but not so much the family tell them Im not together with him he's just my friend and if they dont blieve you then so be it ignore them!Youll go through harder things in your life!But I do feel for you good luck

Well if you know who started the rumor just rat them out .. lol uhmm also you can try to ask the kid there saying that you are together with and tell everyone he isnt with you . =] Any help ?
