Was he the son of Mary Christ and Jospeh Christ? Actually he would have been the bastard son of Mary Christ and God Christ. Please note that bastard means "unmarried". Was Christ Joseph's last name or did he take the name of the biological adulterous father, who so hypocritically got Mary pregnant when she was promised to another man.

Edit: Special K - if there is a heaven and hell I would prefer to go to hell. Look throughout your Bible, your God is mean and murders, etc. Satan was kicked out of heaven and obviously does not like God, so what in your mind makes you think that he would do anything God wants him to? There is no logical reason, but then your faith in based on nothing logical, since logic and religion do not mix. Please do not pray for my soul, if there is a heaven and hell, I wish to go anywhere religious people are not.

No, not Jesus of Christ. Jesus the Christ. A bit like Attila the Hun or Alexander the Great, Richard the Lionheart, Robert the Bruce, Fritz the Cat etc.

No, as others had pointed out, in Israel during Jesus time there were no last names as we use now. Christ is the greek equivalent word to the title "Messiah" or "Annoited One". It was a title to identify Him as the Messiah prophetized by Isaiah, Daniel, and others prophets. The word "Christ" has no direct relation to "cross". Although not exactly "last names" the people of Israel used the following forms to differentiate people with the same first name: * adding a reference to the place of birth or residence: Examples: Jesus of Nazareth, Joseph of Arimathea, Paul of Tarsus * adding a reference to the trade or job that the person had: Examples: John the Baptist, Joseph the Carpenter, Simon the Zealot * adding a reference to the father with a prefix Bar or Ben meaning "son of" Examples: James son of Zebedee, James son of Alphaeous * adding a nickname Examples: James the Just, James the Less, Simon Cephas or Simon Peter, Thomas Didymus (meaning "twin") Then, Jesus was probably known as Jesus son of Joseph when he was young, and eventually changed to Jesus of Nazareth when He started traveling, and later as Jesus Christ.

The term "Christ" comes from the Greek word "Christos" and means "anointed One".
In that day, they didn't use last names the way we do. Jesus' name in His own language would have been Yeshua, in English, Joshua. His sur-name would have been bar-Yoseph, bar meaning "son of" and Yoseph meaning Joseph.
In other words, "Christ" is NOT a surname, but rather, a title.
EDIT: I am proud of the Atheist woman up there, she has obviously done her homework! I am also curious as to how she got the Greek letters in this forum...and the little marks like the one over the o in Christos.
Just shows me that there really are a few atheists out there who honestly do know a bit about my faith...
I stand amazed.

His last name or something similiar?
It's Son of Mary.
In some other terms, it would be: MacMary, O'Mary, Maryson, von Mary, van Mary, and so on.
Christ was his title, it wasn't his name.
His partial full name is "Jesus son of Mary, the Christ". Not counting his lineage to David, Moses, Abraham, and Adam.

Christ is just the English term for the Greek word Χριστός (Christós), which means "The Anointed One." The Hebrew word for Christ is Mašíaḥ, translated as Messiah. He was Jesus the Anointed One...Jesus the Messiah...Jesus the Christ.

He was called Jesus of Nazareth and many moons later, somebody took it upon theirselves to call him Christ after the
Greek word - Cristos, which means savior. Some claim that
his father was a carpenter and true or not, everything else about him and Mary is just made up Bull.

"Christ" means Messenger foretold by prophets. It wasn't his last name. Back then people were known by first name and birth location, and by the names of their parents. So he was Jesus of Nazareth, son of Joseph and Mary (although this concept gets a little sticky with Jesus because he was really the son of God... )

Magdalena.
Forget, bastard, adulterous father.
Jesus was a profit and a caring man, the same as many others.
I will not list them, there are many and I am sure you are not interested!
You just seem to have a problem.
Hope you cope!
