... and I decided to go check out the competition. As in G00gle... has anyone else done that?

How would you compare them?

It's a little different, a lot slower paced, it was good, but I missed all of my contacts... *sigh*

Check it out...

I cheat on Yahoo with Google often

Oh, I've used Google for search ever since it had a logo without anti-aliasing. In fact, I never used Yahoo for anything after it left campus and became a corporation. (Well, except for Answers, which I stumbled across...)

But Google has no Q/A site like this. They used to have "Google Answers" but it was different.

EDIT: Link? (BTW, I've toyed around with AnswerBag... Nice site, but not the same community)

Edit 2: Doesn't look like Google's project? Hrm. Anyway, it definitely looks slower -- probably even slower than AnswerBag.

It's cool, it's a little different -- more of a multiple choice style answering site with discussions... some questions get great conversations going. Responses are very fast though due to format.

Thanks for the link. I shall go set up the drinking game there!
Seriously, I'd miss my buddies here too, but sometimes I think a break from the evolution questions in R&S would be good.
Look for Pangloss next time you're on there!

Microsoft also has a version, but the last time I was there, many people were complaining about deletions.

quickStream doesn't want to work for me. I click on "Yes" on a question, and nothing.

I would say google would be less patroled by Nazis than here, seing as though they themselves seem to host so much un-copyrighted videos and things.
