Bright colors, easy on the prints, and a big mirror. White would probably be best. Curtain is easy and inexpensive way to start.

I have a tiny bathroom and wondered the same thing. First I would like to recommend that you remember this: dark colors will make it feel like a cave, especially if there is no windows. Second, bright colors or pastels will make it feel much bigger and brighter. Keeping that in mind, I suggest finding a range of colors you want to consider, then take those little sample cards and tear out the colors you are considering. Then go and see if you can find a shower curtain and other bathroom supplies that would match/compliment the colors you are considering.
I wound up choosing a pastel greenish color called: Peace lily
and have white accents.
When you decide to buy the paint, be sure you ask if it is designed for bathrooms. Some paints don't work well in bathrooms because of all the moisture. I bought the Kilz brand Semi-gloss interior paint. It works well. Also remember as it dries it will darken slightly. So don't let the initial color scare you.
Good luck and happy painting!

Tiny bathrooms can be painted any color you love. Don't listen to the "rules" that a dark color will make it look smaller. It's tiny, and you're not going to fool anyone into thinking it isn't. Sometimes dark colors, like chocolate brown, are very dramatic in a small bathroom. Whatever color you choose, make sure you paint the ceiling the same color as the walls, or a couple shades lighter than the walls. This will draw the eye up towards the "light" and make it feel taller. Do not use yellow because that will make you look washed out in the mirror.
My bathroom is small, and I painted the entire thing a pale green/gray, including the ceiling, and then put a darker faux finish in the walls only. The faux finish gives the eyes something to look at in the small room. Since my walls are "busy" I chose to accent in only two colors, white and a pale pink, and my shower is curtain is crisp, bright white. I love it because it's clean looking. Decorative shower curtains are ridiculous in my opinion, and I think with a small room clean and simple is best.
Pick your favorite color for this small room, and accessorize sparingly and you'll end up with a bathroom that is simple and easy for the eye to look at, and one that always looks clean.

You might want to buy a shower curtain first if you're looking for color inspiration, or you can pick the paint and then the shower curtain to match. I suggesting picking a neutral color (cream or something similar) because any sort of dark color like forest green, navy, etc will make the bathroom feel much smaller than it is. A light, neutral color will make it feel bigger.

You should find something that inspires you and pull all your colors from that. Like if you want a beach type bathroom, think of colors from the beach. It would probably be good to stay away from dark colors. It really depends on the room though. You probably could start out with a shower curtain or certain towels that you like. Just whatever inspires you!

If the bathroom is small, you want to lighten it up. What's your favorite color? You might want to stick with white, than you can change your shower curtain and accessories as you like. Or a pale yellow, or blue. Do you like a certain shower curtain? If you do, then buy that and see if you can match up a paint to that. You want to avoid overcrowding and cludder, keep it sparce, and add things as needed. Less sometimes is more.

I know that last guy was just joking, but seriously yellow looks cool. We live in an apartment with a small bathroom, and we painted it yellow with a texture under it. We also made it kind of a sun moon and stars theme with three different, small, gold sun mirrors. The yellow made it seem bigger. We put lots of candles in different places. We really didn't expect it to come out as great as it did. I think as a general rule darker colors make rooms seem smaller than brighter or lighter ones. Not sure. Just my opinion.

Paint your bathroom walls white, then bring is colour with accessories. Place a big mirror (900mm x 900mm or 900mm x 600mm )on a wall opposite the bath or shower this will give an effect of a larger bathroom. Your can also have a Wall hung Vanity (if you are thinking of changing your Vanity.). By having a White Bathroom you can change your accessories without changing the walls.

1. Select light colors for the walls. Pale, soft, cool colors are best for a small bathroom and not bright, loud ones. Pastel tones, whites and neutrals all work wonderfully.
2. Floor color should also be light. If there is already a dark colored floor which you cannot replace, cover it with a light colored rug.

Yes buy your fav shower curtain and take it from there, I like dark earthy tones like sand, maroon, brown calming colors, then paint the bathroom accordingly. How fun I love fixing rooms up!
