Please read and help me understand this.

We played a pool game and my boyfriend got in a fight with this guy. I tried to push the other guy off of him on the ground and then when they started to fight again I came in between them and stopped it. Well then he got kicked out of the bar and 2 of his friends took him back home.
He says I didn't stick up for him cause i didn't leave with him when he did.
I did what I could, and i don't know what else I couldv'e did. I couldn't just leave the bar, I had a tab to pay. I told him that and everything buy he still doesn't understand and now he has moved out saying we need a break.

It sounds like he's having a temper tantrum, and that he feels humiliated about getting in a fight and getting kicked out of a bar. Honestly, why would you date a guy who can't hold his liquor and fights in bars? To me this is a huge turnoff, and I'd be thankful he moved out because now you're free to find someone who is mature.

First of all, he is being a big baby. It's not like you went to the other guy asking if he was okay and then called your boyfriend every name in the book. You broke up the fight, had to stay to pay the tab, what did you do wrong? Nothing. He's being an idiot. I don't think it's fair that he's making you suffer for his mistake. Don't feel bad, he's being silly right now.

Hes not really saying you didn't stick up for him...what hes really saying is that hes embarrassed because you stopped the fight...his ego probably took a major downfall because of that...Why don't you just tell him that you love him, and if he gets in a fight no matter what that you'll be there for him...also in the future if he gets in a fight don't get in the way...chances are the guy he got in a fight with said something about you and he felt he had to fight him...and you fighting for his honor makes him feel like less of a man....he'll be back......just let him know you would whoop anyone who touches their man...

I personally would have payed the tab and left the bar. You tried to break up the fight but you didn't stand behind your man 100%. This is what he means by you didn't stick up for him. It is not at all physical, but emotional. Instead of staying he feels that you should have left when he left, especially if you all went to the bar together.
