to those who responded soo negatively and didn't read the last part i put in there.
My husband calls me because he wants to call me and he wants to talk to his son as well. He works 12 hour shifts some nights and doesn't see us much during the day. I love seeing the smile on my son's face when he talks to his daddy on the phone. So it has nothing to do with me clinging to him and i'm not worried that he's cheating on me or anything like that. We have a healthy happy marriage and wouldn't change a thing! I only see my husband maybe for 3 hours a day. He works alot of weekends as well so we try to stay close! Our son is learning new stuff every day and it's exciting to tell my husband about it!

You don't need a shrink. You just need to realize that sh** happens and things don't always go the way we want them. If he is working long shifts he knows you need that call and already feel badly that he couldn't make it.
