Met a guy a couple of weeks ago. Had first date this past Friday (4 days ago). It was amazing. Supposed to be only meeting for drinks after work. That led to dinner, which led to dessert at another restaurant. Great conversation, lots of flirting, laughing and fun. The evening ended several hours later. We said goodbye with no mention of getting together again. We've emailed back and forth this week, during which we talked about our first date and I expressed interest in getting together again. He hasn't said anything either way. What's the next step? I'm assuming that HE should initiate requesting the second date. If he doesn't, should I assume he's not interested in me? Do you agree?

I wouldn't ask him out. If he isn't man enough to call you and ask you out again, forget about him. Also, you have to accept the possibility that he doesn't like you as more than a friend, which could be the reason he isn't initiating another date. In my experience, when a guy really likes a girl, he'll move heaven and earth and risk lifetime humiliation to ask her out again.

You should initiate it. He obviously had a great time also and just may be shy about asking you for a second date. Just suggest going to a movie or out to the bar again this weekend.
