I've been a Soldier in the U.S. Army for 8 years now, so I know a lot about being away from loved ones. The first thing I see here is that it's only a week. Trust me - that's a piece of cake! If it were a month or longer, you might be feeling a little differently, but you both know that you're not going to be away from each other for long. Don't read too far it. Just lie to him when he gets back and tell him how much you missed him!

All couples are different... There are couples who are lovey-dovey through out their relationship. There are couples who are very casual and don't show much romantic feelings. Most are in between. What kind of couple do you think you and your boyfriend are?
Another factor is the duration of your relationship. How long have you been with him? The longer a couple have been together, the less romantic the relationship is in most cases.
Also, most people need their personal time away from their partners to do the things they can't do when their partners are around, such as doing hobbies, going out with friends, etc. So, maybe you don't miss him this time because you enjoy your time being alone since you can do all those things you love without having to worry about caring your boyfriend.

Not everyone misses their significant other immediately. You might simply be very comfortable in your relationship and know he'll be back soon enough. See how you feel the day before he comes back. If you don't miss him even a little bit by then I'd be really surprised. It might just be you know he's still gone for five days, so why pine after him.

Not necessarily. Even people in happy relationships need some time alone every now and then. And if you know he's having a good time, but he misses you and he's coming back soon, then you also know there's nothing to be sad about. If you start wishing he were still gone after he gets home, then you can start worrying.

Well, how long have you two been together? If you just started dating than you're not missing him is pretty typical. If you've been together a while than it probably means you don't love him. If you've been with him long enough to be in love than you should miss him...If you don't than I'd suggest a discussion when he returns...In other words don't dump him by phone...Tell him how you feel directly. PEACE!

Noo its okay, sometimes people just get tired of being around the same person every single day, its ok to enjoy a little time apart.

You already know when he will be back, you may have needed a break from each other. A break is not a negative - its a positive and should give you both new things to talk about.

⇒ Eh, don't worry about it.
It's always good to take a break from someone for a little bit.
Trust && Believe, I've learned the hard way in previous relationships.
It's good to spend some time away from each other, so you don't grow to get annoyed with one another.
=)

You know that he's gonna come back, and he hasn't been gone that long, so you probably aren't going to miss him.
